Many people believe the number 666 refers to the Devil, and 777 refers to the Creator. Strangely, there is a gigantic 777 buried in the Book of the Revelations to Yahchanan the Prophet. It is the Seven Seals, the Seven Trumpets, and the Seven Bowls of YHWH's Judgment against humankind. The first five Seals have already opened, now we are waiting for the Sixth Seal. It is the rest of these Judgments which reveal our future to us. This page is a rough outline, the details will be filled in later.
The Scandinavian Norse Men lived north of the Western Roman Empire. They occupied the area from Ireland up to Finland and the Barents Sea. Some of these are children of Yaphet. Many of these people are said to belong to the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. Supposedly, many of the Germanic peoples were also from the Lost Ten Tribes, but they were conquered by Rome and her religion. Those living to the north (norse) were able to retain their own beliefs. So it becomes important to us to understand the basics of their religion. At first it seems as if the Norse beliefs are not connected to the normal Hebrew scriptures, as we might expect them to be.
This is the Scandinavian story of the Solar system. The inner planets were not stably organized, then Venus dropped in and caused disruption and turbulence. Planets interacted with each other. So then Loki becomes involved in the destruction of planet Baldr which becomes the asteroid belt. The Ice-Age was a time when Terra (the earth) was far from Sol (the sun). Odin (Jupiter) had to arrange things to stabilize the system. He had to bind the god Loki and his three children. The planet Loki had moons. One son (the Serpent) was cast out into the sea of stars, ejected from the Solar system. Loki then becomes bound to Terra. Finally the Solar system calms down. So now the system is somewhat stable. But someday Loki and his two sons break free and destabilize the Solar system until it is destroyed. Odin is devoured by Sol, so the universe ends.
The deep past was brought to us by Immanuel Velikovsky. He described a catastrophic Solar system with planets moving in elliptical orbits and interacting with each other. The Bible describes Terra as having a moon. Velikovsky said Venus came from Jupiter. When she arrived in the inner Solar system she mixed things up. If Venus and Mars really did interact closely with Terra any moons would no longer be in a nearly-circular orbit. The most likely outcome for any moon is ejection from the vicinity of the planets. Also possible is a collision with the moon and either of the two planets. If the moon were to aquire a long elliptical orbit that orbit would not be stable, and the moon would soon be lost. The planets themselves change direction and rate of motion during a close encounter.
A typical schoolbook says the planets have followed stable circular orbits for billions of years. That seems very unlikely. As Sol orbits the Milky Way Galaxy it encounters other stars and clouds of nebulae.
The biblical description makes it sound as if the moon is in stable orbit before and after the Exodus. Velikovsky said a planet went past, and we know its gravity would remove any moon from orbit. Since he thinks these events happened several times it is unlikely for our current moon to be the same moon which existed before Exodus. In the Book of Genesis we learn YHWH created the earth and the moon. Normal people look up in the sky nowadays and see a moon, so they assume this is the same moon YHWH created. Maybe it is, but it has not orbited the earth the whole time.
The Scandinavian Edda stories also say the Solar system was unstable and planets interacted. The Norse (Northmen) did believe in many gods, some good, some evil. What they called gods we call planets. Imagine the whole story is a fairy tale designed to preserve knowledge of the deep past and brutal future reality. Long ago these gods would battle with each other. Then Venus came along and stirred everything up some more. Loki was involved in the death of the beloved god Baldr. Perhaps Loki was a double-planet, and got too close to planet Baldr, so Loki's double collided with Baldr. Both were destroyed. That is the origin of the asteroid belt and the comets. There was not enough room in the inner Solar system for all the planets.
You might think the events of the Scandinavian Edda stories are not compatible with Velikovsky or with the Book of Revelations. But they do fit right together if Loki is Luna. There are many similarities which we might understand, and which can help us understand the Book of Revelations also. The Book of Revelations definitely describes a big battle between the evil gods and the good gods. It sounds very much like the Norse battle. Odin is Jupiter is Zeus is Lord God is Enlil, and those are different names of Satan the Devil. His universe is the evil world we live in. It is Loki who is the good god. Odin dies in the fire and his universe dies with him, but that is not the end of existance for Life and Life's Wife. At the end of Revelations Satan is also placed in the fire, but existance goes on for Yahshua and his bride. Many people have already written about the similarities of Scandinavian lore and the Book of Revelations. I'll add to that a bit. When I correlate the three stories together an interesting scenario emerges: the god Loki is Terra's moon Luna. Loki is a planet pretending to be a moon.
All those planetary events ended 2600 years ago. The gods decided to organize things better. The bigger planets were arranged in nearly-circular orbits according to what we now call the Titius-Bode relationship. They said the rogue god Loki was tied with his back to a big rock. That is how and when the planet Luna became a moon of Terra. Loki has his back to the rock he is tied to, and Luna always has the same side facing Terra. Loki had a bowl that would get full and empty, which are the monthly phases of Luna. Loki was said to cause earthquakes, showing he is close to Terra. Luna is also said to cause earthquakes.
Since 2600 years ago the Solar system has been stable. But the prophecies indicate the system will fall apart. The Eddas say wolves will devour the sun and the moon. Stars will fall out of the heaven. The earth will shake violently, trees and mountains will fall down. If a mid-size asteroid were to strike Terra the atmosphere would be choked with dust and smoke and rocks falling from the sky. There would be a terrible earthquake. The sun and moon would not be seen for several months.
The second sign of Ragnarokker is the escape of the god Loki from his prison. It is a requirement that Loki break free from Terra, for it is Loki which causes Ragnarokker. The asteroid strike into Terra causes planetary reverberations which allows Luna to escape from Terra. As soon as the air is clearing it becomes obvious to humanity Terra no longer has a moon. The planet Luna is now circling into the inner Solar system.
Currently the Viking god Loki is bound in a cycle. This is his orbit around Terra (earth). The beginning of Ragnarokker is when Loki gets away. He stirs up the giants and the gods and causes the war which ends the universe. Loki and Luna are different names for the same planet/god! Loki and Luna are vaguely similar names. If the Scandinavian Edda is correct it is necessary for Loki to be Luna. Loki will escape! When he escapes from Terra, Loki goes to the land of Jotunheim (the world of giants) and rounds up a bunch of giants to help him in the big final battle of the gods (Ragnarok). There are mountain giants and frost giants (asteroids and comets). There are many Near-Earth Objects (NEO's) orbiting the sun near Terra. These are all in stable orbits (Jotunheim) and won't intersect Terra itself. This is the same as saying planet Luna blundered into the inner Solar system and its presence stirred up the orbits of the NEO's. So the NEO's begin crashing into the big planets (gods).
Luna continues on and stirs up Venus and Mercury, setting them both on new paths. So begins the final big war of the gods: Ragnarok. Soon Mars and Jupiter are involved. Asteroids from the asteroid belt begin scattering and crashing into the gods as well. Most of the gods will die. The good gods and the bad gods kill each other.
The Scandinavians believed the god Odin was the Creator of this universe. This universe ends in a series of events called: Ragnarokker (Old Norse for: twilight of the gods. in German: Gotterdammerung). Ragnarokker begins when wolves devour the sun and moon, temporarily. Loki breaks free from his confinement, then his sons break their bonds too. The next major Ragnarokker event is called: Fimbulvetter. This is the Terrible Winter when Terra is encased in ice and snow for two or three years. As Terra moves away from Sol all people war with each other. Eventually Terra moves back in closer to Sol. The Norse Men believed there would someday be a final battle between the good and the evil gods. This battle is called: Ragnarok (war of the gods). The gods have a battle so fierce the whole planet erupts in flame. Everything on Terra is burned as the gods kill each other. The most of the gods die. Finally Terra is submerged in water. Odin dies and his universe dies with him. When the water drains away it is said Terra is now purified. Only two human beings remain: Life and Life's Wife (Garden).
Notice in the Book of Revelations 6:12 the Sixth Seal Judgment sounds like an asteroid strike on Terra. For the 8:5 Seventh Seal there is a great earthquake. I'll get back to this. The 8:8 Second Trumpet Judgment event also describes an asteroid or comet hitting Terra. The star named Wormwood is probably an evil god, not an asteroid. In this context gods are often referred to as: stars. Then we get to the Fourth Trumpet Judgment:
8:12 Then the fourth god sounded. A third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
This is a crazy-sounding event. It is difficult to understand. What does it mean? There has been a lot of speculation. Sometimes it is thought to mean Sol varies in it's output. Or giant sunspots darken it, giant flares brighten it. Or one-third of it is somehow blocked by a large cloud of locusts or spaceships. Probably the air is dark from dust and soot from the asteroid hits. It could happen Sol is dimmed by passing through a thick nebula. Those scenarios assume Sol shines all day but the light reaching the earth is then only two-thirds as bright as normal. When it says a third of the day did not shine, that seems to mean each 24-hour day we get 8 hours of sun, 8 hours of night, and 8 hours of blackness (similar to the blackness they had in Egypt in Moshe's day). Any of those events would cause the earth to freeze.
Yah'b [Job] 9:5 YHWH removes the mountains, and they do not know it when He overturns them in His anger. 6 He shakes the earth out of its place, and the pillars thereof tremble. 7 He commands the sun, it does not rise.
The Revelations 8:5 Seventh Seal Judgment there is an earthquake, but it does not necessarily describe an asteroid. What else could it be? The vast majority of people are taught Luna (the moon) calmly orbits the planet Terra (earth) in a nearly-circular stable orbit. But it is not true. Luna orbits Sol (the sun) in an orbit highly disturbed by the presence of Terra. Luna's revolution around Terra each month is not a true orbit, it is chaotic and is not exactly predictable. Some months are longer and some are shorter mainly because Luna and Terra each have elliptical orbits. Luna does not travel the same path every month. Sometimes Sol pulls this way, sometimes that way. Even today there are months when Luna almost gets away from Terra, that month is longer.
At the time we call Full Moon the planet Terra is between Sol and Luna. At this time Luna is travelling 2200mph faster than Terra along their shared orbit. A week later Luna is now in front of Terra. Both are moving the same speed along their Solar orbit, 60,000mph, but now Luna is also travelling 2200mph towards Sol. It seems as if Sol's gravity hole would accelerate Luna towards itself. But another week later is New Moon when Luna is between Sol and Terra. At this time Luna is not moving towards Sol at all, that motion ceased. At this time Luna is now travelling along its Solar orbit 2200mph slower than Terra is. Terra slips ahead in the orbit. Inertia wants Luna to keep going slow and keep going towards Sol. Somehow Terra has to grab Luna, pull it away from Sol, accelerate it, and whip it around again. This part of Luna's path around Terra is not circular. It is chaotic and not exactly predictable.
A couple days around New Moon is the most dangerous moment, the moment when Luna can easily escape the grasp of Terra. Each month Luna is slightly farther away from Terra, so the danger is becoming greater. Pulling on Luna alters the spheroid shape of Terra. There are tides in the ocean and also in the crust of Terra. Besides that Terra is currently revolving around the Terra/Luna center-of-gravity point. This is not coincident with Terra's rotational axis. If Luna pulled away the shape of Terra would change, so everyone on the planet would experience a moderate earthquake. And if Luna did escape at this moment Terra would be travelling slightly too fast for its orbital distance. Luna would fall away inwards, Terra would sling away outwards. Luna is now a planet! Terra would begin spiralling out of the Solar system.
When an asteroid hits Terra it causes the planet to shake, a great earthquake. That would be the Sixth Seal Judgment. If this happened around New Moon when Terra was reaching out to grab Luna it could cause Terra to lose its grip. Luna slips away. So Terra shakes again, and is moved out of its place in the Solar system. That is the Seventh Seal Judgment.
Please note: when Revelations speaks of hail, it is not talking about ice from a cloud. It is talking about a cloud of rocks from space. For the first Trumpet Judgment this sounds like a cloud of rocks thrown into temporary orbit by the asteroid impact event. Another thing, when a comet or soft asteroid passes close to a planet, within the Roche limit, the comet is ripped apart into pieces, and eventually the pieces fall into the planet. Hail happens a few times during these Judgments, it happened in the Old Testament, and that is what we would expect in the Solar system gone wild.
Revelations 8:12 says a third of the sun did not shine. It is Sol which warms the surface of Terra so we can live here. If Terra moves out near the orbit of Mars Sol would only be two-thirds as warm as it is now. It is cold out there: bitter COLD. All the fresh water on Terra freezes, lakes turn into blocks of ice, even the oceans freeze over. Yes, Egypt will be covered in snow. No food crops will be grown those years. And so Terra would become encased in ice: Fimbul-vetter! The Terrible Winter.
Humanity would plainly see Luna drift away. And as Terra heads out away from Sol the impending death of the human race as we know it will be obvious to all. All hope for the future is lost as Terra freezes. It is the beginning of another ice-age. The oceans give up enormous amounts of water vapor as they give off heat. Snow falls everywhere on Terra, coming from all directions. Food suddenly becomes scarce. All civilization collapses. Law and morals become non-existant. The battle is raging: World War Three! The Sixth Trumpet Judgment in Revelations describes a 200-million man army and a huge war where one-third of men are killed. Men are starving, they need food and heat and do not care who they have to kill.
But do not throw away your sunglasses and air-conditioners. After a couple years of Fimbulvetter Terra encounters Mars. The Seventh Trumpet Judgment is when Terra gets near Mars. And then it moves back in closer to Sol. The ice melts and now men are burned. That is when there are three Bowl Judgments. Men suffer foul sores and boils, the sea becomes blood, then rivers become blood. Desperate people do desperate things. WWIII will probably include nuclear and biological weapons, that would cause the sores and boils.
The balance of nature would be thrown way off by the Fimbulvetter. When a few years of ice and snow finally melts we should not expect things to immediately return to normal. There is no more normal. The food chain would be destroyed. Many animals and plants would be dead from the extended cold, all thawing out at the same time and laying around rotting. Algae blooms can cause the appearance of blood in the ocean and the fresh water. Maybe there will be real blood mixed in from the billions of dying people and animals. No ice will be found anywhere on the planet. Men will try to grow food, but it will be withered by Sol.
Terra could have been slowly spiraling out away from Sol and then have a close encounter with Mars which causes Terra to now spiral slowly back into the inner Solar system where it encounters Mercury. This moving around causes many of the Judgments which Revelations describes. When the time comes this whole 777 series of events could be explained by the media as natural effects of nature gone wild. They will say there is no need for a Creator who does these things. They will say to ignore the
Two Witnesses of YHWH. They will say all these disasters were caused by the one asteroid which shook Terra away from Luna.
The orbit of Mars gets disrupted when encountering Terra. Terra heads back inward towards Sol and Mars goes out through the asteroid belt to meet Jupiter. Perhaps Mars was real bright before, and now Venus is appearing large and bright? The planets get mixed up. The orbits of Venus and Mercury would get disrupted when the planet Luna drops in between them. Now you have five planets running amok in the inner Solar system. Soon Jupiter will join them. Asteroids are being flung around. It is the War of the Gods. Ragnarok!!
Revelations 16:8 Then the fourth god poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him [Shamash] to scorch men with fire. 9 Men were scorched with great heat.
Does this Fourth Bowl Judgment mean Sol increases its brightness? Giant flares? Or could it mean Terra is now closer to Sol? There were may ways to make Sol dimmer, but how do you make it appear brighter? Every flammable thing on Terra catches fire and burns because Terra gets too close to Sol. My scenario explains both things as one movement during the Trumpet and Bowl Judgments. My idea presents the series of Judgments as an almost-natural-seeming series of events. Lacking education, most christian speculators explain these things as a series of miracles.
Now it is time for Terra to be incinerated according to Ragnarokker and also according to the regular scriptures! Sol can already burn you from 93,000,000 miles. It is a lot hotter when Terra gets closer. We're talking about: brutal HOT! There will not be even one speck of snow or ice anywhere on Terra. The book of Malakyah gives the future history from his day. Down to 3:16 has already happened. The next event mentioned is: the Day that YHWH Makes. Terra gets too close to Sol!
Malakyah (Malachi) 4:1 Behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace! All the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be stubble. The day that comes will burn them up: says Yahwah of hosts. It will leave them neither root nor branch. 3 You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day I make: says Yahwah of hosts.
2Ezra 15:24 Yahwah's anger overflows in fire to scorch the earth to its foundations, and consume sinners like burning straw.
Revelations 16:14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of Yahwah Almighty.
Zephanyah (Zephaniah) 1:2 I will utterly consume all things from off the face of the ground: says Yahwah. 3 I will consume man and beast. I will consume the birds of the heavens, the fishes of the sea, the stumblingblocks with the wicked. I will cut off man from off the face of the ground: says Yahwah. 14 The great Day of Yahwah is near, it is near and hurries greatly, even the voice of the Day of YHWH. The mighty man cries bitterly.
The Day YHWH makes is more than 24 hours. The Day YHWH makes is the Seven Bowls of Plagues (Revelations 14:14 to 20:3). It will take months to complete. The ice of Fimbulvetter and the fire of Ragnarok are a cold-hot cycle. During Fimbulvetter people will complain about the cold, pray to God to demand heat, and heat is what they get. Suddenly there are no longer polar caps, no ice anywhere on Terra, just fire and scorching heat.
The Day YHWH makes begins at the Seventh Trumpet Judgment. Finishing the Day YHWH makes is the day Yahshua returns as King of Terra. Armegeddon! The Seventh Bowl Judgment.
Zecharyah (Zechariah) 14:12 This will be the plague with which Yahwah will smite all the peoples who war against Yerusalem: their flesh will consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes will consume away in their sockets, and their tongue will consume away in their mouth.
2Ezra 13:11 As I watched, He [Yahshua] poured out of His mouth what seemed like a stream of fire, a breath of flame from His lips, and a storm of sparks from His tongue. All of them combined into one mass: the stream of fire, the breath of flame, and the great storm. It [the Law of YHWH] fell on the host advancing to join battle, and burnt up every man of them. All that enormous multitude suddenly disappeared, leaving nothing but dust, ashes, and a reek of smoke. I was dumbfounded at the sight.
After all that it seems amazing even the two people are able to survive. But the Fire will not burn those who obey the Law of YHWH.
At the end of Ragnarokker Terra is submerged in water. Water is the symbol of Yahshua. At the end of the Day YHWH makes Yahshua is now king of Terra. He is to restore Terra to a better condition, that will require a lot of water.
And so we see the Norse beliefs are not exactly the same as the Hebrew scriptures, but there is a good deal of similarity. Loki must be Luna (the moon), and Luna must escape from Terra (the earth). The endings are different. In Revelations there are many people arriving with Yahshua Messiah, and some on Terra who survived these events. He sets up the millenial kingdom. After Ragnarok there are only two people to repopulate Terra. We know the Lost Ten Tribes were lost because they rejected YHWH as their king. And so it is not surprising if they modified the stories they already had. Perhaps the similarities are more important than the differences. Revelations says Yahshua and his bride. Yahshua is life.
